Safe and healthy work environments can provide a protective factor for mental health. Conversely, unhealthy conditions—including stigma, discrimination, exposure to risks such as harassment, and other deteriorating work conditions—can pose significant threats to mental health and overall quality of life, subsequently affecting participation and productivity at work.
